People always ask me..."What do you eat?" And I say, "Real food." It's really that simple -- we eat vegetables, meat, dairy, fruit, etc. And we eat organic as much as possible, but not exclusively. We also don't have any soda in our home. We drink water and organic milk...that's it. We avoid processed food. At some point in the next few months, I will post some sample menus to give you an idea of exactly what we eat, including what I pack the kids for their school lunch.
It is so difficult when you are trying to change your lifestyle and modify your diet to achieve a healthier life. The guidelines are sometimes confusing (at least they were for me).
Dr. Doris Rapp is an amazing woman that understands and stresses to her patients the importance of eating the right foods. She also understands that some foods can affect children's behaviors. Foods can also affect the growth of cancers. Her website is terrific and worth reading. Dr. Rapp is not our doctor, but if we lived near her, we would be under her care...that's for sure!
