As you know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In an effort to make this meal as healthy and beneficial as possible, I now get up a little bit earlier than I used to so I can whip up a wholesome organic breakfast for my family.
This is what it looked like this morning (see photo). We had organic scrambled eggs (made using organic milk, organic butter and organic eggs; seasoned with himalayan salt and pepper), flounder (seasoned with organic taco seasoning and fried in olive oil), Ezekiel bread (toasted and covered in organic butter), and organic watermelon (of course, that was the kids' favorite part). Takes me about 10 minutes to get this on the table.
So my thinking behind this breakfast is:
- Eggs, Flounder & Ezekiel Bread -- All wonderful sources of protein, and since my kids don't get a morning snack at school, they need that protein so they don't feel hungry half-way through the morning.
- Eggs -- Besides containing
- Flounder -- Hi
